The First Peoples Principles of Learning emphasize that learning is holistic, relational, and connected to identity, culture, and community. These principles have helped shape my understanding of what meaningful learning should look like. As someone with a strong cultural background, I value the importance of learning through experience, relationships, and connection to the land. Through my coursework and personal experiences, I have come to see how important it is to create space for students to learn in ways that reflect who they are. I aim to incorporate these principles into my teaching to support respectful, inclusive, and meaningful learning for all students.
